MEMORIAL FIELD — New Playground
March 2019

The DMA Board of Directors is very excited to announce that it has received the permit from Landmarks Preservation for the new playground at Memorial Field. Our playground was designed in collaboration with a landscape architect and the DMEA.

A playground is not a collection of equipment. It is a gathering space for grandparents and parents. It is place where we celebrate ideas, share special moments, and watch the next generation grow. It is a place of happiness, joy, and what is missing most of all in this world today – spontaneous fun. We encourage you to reflect upon what is most special about our neighborhood – the tremendous assets which bind us together as neighbors, friends, parents, and grandparents, as together we offer the next generation of Douglas Manor children a safe and exciting outdoor place to gather, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company.
