Donna "Gentle Spirit" Barron will discuss the history of Long Island's various native American Indian First Nations. 
Special guests Harry Wallace, Chief of the Unkechaug Nation, and Osceola Townsend, Chief of the Matinecocks.

Douglaston Club, 600 West Drive

"Treasures of the Vanderbilt Cup Races and the Long Island Motor Parkway"

Guest speaker: Howard Kroplick,  local author and historian

 The talk will feature items from Mr. Kroplick's collection, including films, pennants, posters, pins, program guides and trophies.  Sections of the Motor Parkway still exist today as a walking/bike path.

Brunch buffet available from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, $32.95 payable to The Douglaston Club in advance or at the door. Reservations: 718-229-3900. Non-Club members may pay by credit card.
